Yooni Park was hired as an assistant coach of the New York University women's volleyball team in August 2025. She returned to the team after spending the 2024-25 season with the Violets as a graduate transfer.
During Park’s first season as a member of the coaching staff, the Violets went 19-12 and again advanced to the postseason. The Violets secured an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament following a third-place finish at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship.
Individually, many players earned accolades for their athletic and academic prowess. Both Grace Nelson and Ava Launsbach earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-American and All-Region 4 First Team status, while Coco Barton received All-Region Honorable Mention. Launsbach and Barton were also Second Team All-UAA selections, while Casey Cho was tabbed as UAA Co-Rookie of the Year.
Following a four-year career at Division I Columbia University, Park played a crucial role for the Violets in her lone season, compiling 696 digs on the year, good for second all-time in a single season in program history.
On September 28, 2024, Park registered 44 digs against Carnegie Mellon University, which set the program record for digs in a single match.
The Cupertino, CA, native was named Honorable Mention All-UAA, both AVCA First Team All-Region 4 and Honorable Mention All-American, and NCAA Massachusetts Region All-Tournament Team.
In her four seasons with the Lions, Park appeared in 55 career matches and totaled 142 digs.
A 2024 Columbia graduate with a degree in Psychology, Park is currently a master's student at NYU studying Integrated Marketing in the School of Professional Studies (SPS).
