Kelly Jones

Kelly Jones began working with New York University in September 2026.

Jones is a board certified specialist in sports dietetics and owner of Kelly Jones Nutrition, a performance nutrition and nutrition communications consulting company as well as a private practice. She began her career with nearly a decade as an associate professor of nutrition and exercise physiology, while building her sports nutrition business and gaining notoriety in the media.

On top of collaborating with athletes one-one-one, Jones has consulted with a variety of national sports organizations and collegiate teams. In addition to her work in traditional sports, Jones has developed programming for Google Health and Performance and created medical fitness programs for internationally recognized fitness clubs. Kelly’s performance nutrition expertise is highlighted in national media outlets such as Runner’s World, Women’s and Men’s Health, US News and World Report, Insider, and many more.

Jones has appeared on CBS Mornings and is regularly featured on broadcast television in various markets, often representing brands to showcase the ease of incorporating nutrient dense foods into a busy lifestyle. 

Owner of a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition with a minor in Exercise Physiology from the University of Connecticut, Jones was also a member and two-year captain of the women’s swim team. Her dietetic internship and master’s in Exercise Nutrition were completed at the University at Buffalo and she has held her board certification for over a decade.
