Jonathan Skidmore was named New York University's inaugural Senior Director of Development, University Life and Athletics in July of 2024. In his role, Skidmore focuses on identifying and cultivating relationships with alumni and parents of the NYU community.
Skidmore first joined NYU in August 2022 as the Director of Leadership Annual Giving, where he made an enormous impact. He successfully recruited and trained a team of development professionals who collectively raised more than $3.4M under his leadership. Additionally, Skidmore has personally closed gifts nearing $1M— working with a variety of departments to establish endowed scholarship and research funds, as well as securing immediate funds critical to daily operations at NYU.
Prior to arriving at NYU, Skidmore spent nearly seven years at Brandeis University as a fundraiser. He started his career as a Program Manager at Ruffalo Noel Levitz.
Skidmore earned his BA from Eastern Michigan University and his MBA in Finance from Brandeis International Business School.
