Emily Kaley

Emily Kaley, MS, RDN, LDN, CSSD, ISAK 2, began working with New York University in September 2026.

A veteran Performance Dietitian with experience working across professional, collegiate, and Olympic-level sports, including MLB, NHL, WNBA, NBA, NYU, and Team USA, Kaley brings insider, real-world expertise from building and implementing sports nutrition programs within elite performance environments.

Specializing in translating sports nutrition science into practical strategies that athletes and teams can immediately apply, Kaley has developed performance nutrition programs from the ground up, supporting fueling, recovery and performance in high-demand settings. With a background in culinary school, she uniquely bridges the gap between nutrition science and real-world food application.

A lifelong athlete, Emily earned her black belt at age 15, served as a soccer captain, played collegiate lacrosse, and has competed in the NYC Marathon and HYROX NYC. For more than a decade, she has also mentored aspiring and early-career dietitians.
Kaley is also the founder of The Academy for Sports and Performance Dietitians, created to help bridge the gap between academic education and the realities of working in elite sport.
