Avital (Al) Liberzon joined the New York University staff as an athletic trainer in November 2025.
Prior to NYU, Liberzon served as a seasonal athletic trainer for the Indiana Fever of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) during the 2025 season.
Liberzon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Quinnipiac University in 2021, where she competed on the club figure skating team. She continued her studies at Purdue University, where she graduated with a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2025.
Liberzon earned her athletic training certification from the Board of Certification in May 2025. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
A native of Brookline, MA, Liberzon currently resides in Secaucus, NJ. She enjoys baking and journaling/scrapbooking in her free time.
