Ashley Robbins joined the New York University athletic training staff in February 2017, and has worked with all of the Violets’ varsity teams.
Prior to NYU, Robbins gained a wealth of experience in athletic training working with multiple teams and universities. She has worked with the National Women’s Hockey League as the Director of Sports Medicine and as the Athletic Trainer/Equipment Manager for the Metropolitan Riveters since September 2015. Her work includes treating Olympic athletes from Russia, Japan, and the United States.
Robbins has also worked for the New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League since September 2016, where she provides game-day coverage for the team.
Her work at the NCAA level includes a two-year stint as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer/Equipment Manager at the University of Maine, where she primarily focused on the women’s ice hockey, track and field, and swimming and diving teams.
Robbins has also gained experience with high-school athletics, working as a Per Diem Athletic Trainer for NYC Athletic Training P.C. since September 2016.
A 2013 graduate of Loras College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training, Robbins worked as a student athletic trainer. She went on to earn a Master’s of Education in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Maine in 2015.
Robbins holds athletic training certifications from the Board of Certification, the New York State Education Department, and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
A native of Evansville, WI, Robbins resides in Saylorsburg, PA.
