Amanda Fazio

Amanda Fazio, or “Faz” as athletes know her, began working with New York University in September 2026.

A mental health counselor (MHC) and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), Fazio specializing at the intersection of mental health and high performance.

Fazio has spent a decade helping high-level athletes and performers manage pressure, overcome performance anxiety, and recover from injury. She currently also serves as the Mental Performance Consultant for the New York Sirens of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). Her previous roles include Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator for the Major League Baseball Players Association and Director of Mental Performance for Fordham University Athletics.

A former collegiate softball coach and Division I softball player, Fazio blends clinical insight and real-world performance experience to help individuals and teams build resilience and pursue their goals with intention.
