Kelsey Huntoon is in her first season as an assistant coach with the New York University women’s volleyball team.

Huntoon comes to the Violets with a wealth of experience, both as a coach and a Division I women’s volleyball player.

Huntoon, who has worked with AllStar Volleyball, a USA Junior Volleyball Club based in New York City since 2010, has served as the Assistant Administrative Director since she began with the club. Huntoon also served two years as an assistant coach of the 16-National Team, followed by two years as Head Coach of the 14-National Team.

“Kelsey provides a variety of knowledge, experience and energy to the program,” NYU Head Coach Jolie Ward said. “She is eager to coach at the collegiate level and we are happy to provide her with this opportunity to work with the NYU program.”

A 2013 magna cum laude graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, Huntoon was a four-year member of the Jaspers’ women’s volleyball team. After serving as a captain during her senior season, Huntoon graduated as the all-time single-season digs record holder. A three-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic honoree, she also served as President of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) during her senior year.

A native of Monroe, MI, Huntoon resides in Queens, NY.
