Jillienne Bennett began serving as a volunteer assistant coach for New York University’s women’s volleyball team prior to the 2025-26 academic year.
A 2022 graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication, Bennett was a four-year starter and standout right-side hitter on the Big Red women’s varsity volleyball team. She ended her career 14th on the program’s all-time list with a .261 hitting percentage while accumulating a multitude of honors including First Team All-Ivy League, Second Team All-Ivy League, Honorable Mention All-Ivy League, Cornell Invitational All-Tournament Team, Duke Classic All-Tournament Team, and Big Red Sports Network Athlete of the Week.
Since graduating, Bennett has served as a head coach for NYC Juniors Volleyball Club. She has additional experience as a coach for Elite Volleyball Program in Chicago, IL.
Prior to her collegiate career, Bennett played for Saint Ignatius College Prep, where she was named MVP in 2017 and selected to multiple All-Academic Teams. She also competed for the Michio Chicago Volleyball Academy and captured MVP honors at the Mizuno Sports Performance President’s Day Challenge.
A native of Chicago, Bennett resides in New York City.
