Andrea Reiff

Andrea Reiff is in her second season as an assistant coach of the of the New York University women’s volleyball team.
 
Last season, Reiff helped lead NYU to the Second Round of NCAA Division III Championship, the Violets’ first NCAA appearance since the team’s Elite Eight run in 2010. The 2013 squad amassed a 28-8 overall record, including a 4-3 record in University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin play and a 2-1 mark at the UAA Championship.
 
The Violets also went undefeated (9-0) at home in the Coles Sports Center en route to earning their 12th straight postseason bid.

A May 2009 graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, Reiff served as Assistant Coach (2010) and then Head Varsity Coach (2011-12) of the girl’s volleyball team at Rye High School in Rye, NY. She led the team to a 15-4 record and a league championship in 2012.
 
A four-year starter at Manhattan, Reiff played in all 105 sets as a senior, starting 27 of 28 matches and finishing third on the team in kills (192), second in digs (304) and tied for the lead in service aces (26) at right-side hitter. She ended her career just 15 digs shy of 1,000 and with more than 600 kills. In addition, Reiff was selected to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team three times and received the Jasper Award, given annually to the senior student-athletes at Manhattan with the highest GPA’s on their respective teams.

Reiff, who earned a Master of Science degree in special education from Manhattan in December 2009, also currently works as a second grade teacher in the Bronx. She is currently implementing and teaching a health education program for elementary school students.
 
Reiff is a native of Hawthorne, NY, and resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
