Biography

2019-20: Earned All-America honors in the 100-yard backstroke, the 200-yard backstroke, the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 400-yard freestyle relay, the 800-yard freestyle relay, the 200-yard medley relay, and the 400-yard medley relay…won the 100-yard back (55.61), the 200-yard back (NYU-record 1:58.92), the 200-yard medley relay (1:42.57), and the 400-yard medley relay (NYU-record 3:43.60), placed second in the 400-yard free relay (3:24.94) and third in the 200-yard free relay (1:34.11) at the UAA Championships (2/12-15)…UAA Athlete of the Week – Swimming (12/9)…First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American…IAAC Spring Honor Roll.
 
2018-19: Placed second in the 400-yard medley relay (3:46.33) and 800-yard freestyle relay (7:34.45), and placed third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.60) at the UAA Championships (2/13-2/16)…took first place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.19) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.88) at the NYU Fall Invitational (11/2-3)…qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and 200-yard freestyle, but did not compete due to injury.
 
2017-18: Earned All-America honors (8th-place - 200-yard backstroke) and Honorable Mention (9th-place – 400-yard medley relay) at the NCAA Championships (3/21-24)…NYU Female Freshman Athlete of the Year…UAA Female Rookie of the Year…placed second in the 200-yard back and 800-yard free, and third in the 200- and 400-yard medley relays at the UAA Championships (2/14-17)…two-time UAA Athlete of the Week- Swimming (2/15, 2/29) and two-time ECAC Rookie of the Week honoree (1/17, 1/31)…set NYU records in the 200-yard free (1:51.09 on 12/1), 500-yard free (4:56.50 on 2/14), 200-yard back (2:00.22 on 2/14), and 800-yard free relay (7:27.35 on 3/23).
 
Personal: Decided to attend NYU because she “loves the exciting and vibrant environment that NYU provides along with the amazing athletic and academic opportunities that it will provide me”…volunteered at Powhatan Nursing Home…enjoys reading, listening to music and walking dogs…plans on either obtaining a research position or attending medical school.
