Michelle Bilek is in her first year as an assistant coach of the New York University women's basketball team and will aid in all facets of the program.

Bilek previously served as the Director of Basketball Operations at Columbia University since 2013, where her responsibilities included coordination of travel arrangements, assisting in the organization of practice, budget management, alumni relations, video coordination, and special projects. 

A 2013 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary education, child and family studies, Bilek was a four-year member of the basketball team. A guard who served as captain during her senior campaign, Bilek helped the Titans advance to the Final Four of the 2011 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament and win the title the following year.

Bilek brings a great deal of basketball camp counseling experience to her new position. She worked seven summers at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL, one at Trinity High School in River Forest, IL, and one at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Additionally, Bilek served a physical education teacher internship for the 2012-13 school year and worked as an Assistant to the Athletic Office at Loyola Academy during the summer of 2012.

A Mt. Prospect, IL, native, Bilek resides in Manhattan.
