Victoria Goldbach

Victoria Goldbach is in her second season as an assistant coach of the New York University softball team. She assists in recruiting and film breakdown, while primarily working with the Violets’ pitching staff.

Goldbach helped lead the Violets to a 21-20 record in her inaugural season, including five wins in University Athletic Association (UAA) play. She also helped guide the Violets to an ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) Division III Championship appearance, where the team advanced to the semifinals for the second year in a row. Junior Diana King earned First Team All-UAA honors while four other members of the team earned Second Team accolades. King additionally was named CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 as well as National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Northeast Region.

Goldbach also guided Karissa Zubulake to an extremely successful year in 2018, as the junior pitcher ended the campaign with a program-record 1.83 ERA and a team-high 65.0 innings pitched.

A 2016 graduate of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Goldbach was a four-year starter on the softball team. As a junior, the former Knight pitched a perfect game. Additionally, she helped lead her team to its first Skyline Conference title and first-ever NCAA Tournament victory in 2016, the first in program history.

Goldbach also served as President of Mount Saint Mary’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as a senior.

Following her graduation, Goldbach served as an assistant coach of the Beacon Xtreme 16U travel team during the summer of 2016. She continues to work as an individual pitching instructor for various age groups.

Goldbach, who also works as a Registered Nurse at NYU Langone Health, is a native and resident of Middle Village, NY.
