Matt Marcelo returned to the New York University track & field team as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the 2025-26 season.

A four-year member of NYU’s track & field team, Marcelo competed as a sprinter. During the 2024-25 season, he ran a career-best time in the 60m at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championships.

Marcelo graduated from NYU in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Marcelo is a native and resident of Oakland, NJ.
