Biography

2016-17: Earned two All-America honors by finishing third in the 200-yard butterfly (season-best 1:47.13) and sixth in the 200-yard backstroke (school-record 1:47.02) at the NCAA Championships (3/15-18)…NYU Male Freshman Athlete of the Year…also competed in the 200-yard IM at the NCAA’s, finishing 22nd (1:51.93)…took third in the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.71), seventh in the 400-yard IM (3:59.97) and ninth in the 100-yard backstroke (50.71) at the UAA Championships (2/8-11)…won the 200-yard backstroke (1:47.63) and placed second in the 200-yard butterfly (1:49.45) at the MIT Invitational (12/2-4).
 
High School: Four-year team member…served as captain during his junior and senior years…received Academic Distinction Award…Honor Roll Student.
 
Personal: Concentration in finance…interested in learning about Latin-American politics…volunteered at the Escuela Mano Amiga, Navidar toy drive…plans to obtain an MBA or attend law school.
