Biography

2009-10: Served as team captain…earned Third Team All-UAA honors as a member of the Violets’ 200 free relay team (1:25.37) at the UAA Championships (2/17-2)…added a fifth-place finish in the 400 free relay (3:09.03), was sixth in the 800 free relay (7:02.60), and recorded season-best times in the 100 back (56.46), 200 breast (2:10.48), 200 IM (1:57.54), and 400 IM (4:12.73) at that meet…produced 28 top-three finishes for the Violets, including nine victories…won the 200 IM (2:00.98) and 400 IM (4:19.99), and finished second in the 100 breast (1:01.74) and 200 breast (2:15.99) at the Rochester Invitational (10/30-31)…notched victories in the 200 IM (2:04.14), 400 free relay (3:20.25), 500 free (4:55.76), and 1,000 free (10:19.98) vs. Rowan (11/7)…took the top spot in the 200 IM (2:02.26) at Swarthmore (11/21)…won the 200 IM (2:04.68) vs. TCNJ (1/23)…received the Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports-Scholar Award…UAA Winter Sport All-Academic honoree. 2008-09: Reached NCAA ‘B’ qualifying standards in the 400 medley relay (3:28.47) at the NYU Last Chance Meet (2/21) and in the 400 IM (4:08.85) at the UAA Championships (2/12-14)…also took seventh in the 200 medley relay (1:37.78), ninth in the 200 breast (career-best 2:09.14) and 11th in the 200 IM (1:55.49) at that meet…placed third in the 200 IM (1:59.41), fourth in the 400 IM (4:20.62) and sixth in the 100 breast (1:01.27) at the MIT Invitational (12/6)…CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American…UAA Winter Sport All-Academic honoree. 2007-08: Posted season-best times in the 500 free (4:46.08) and 400 IM (4:10.33) at the UAA Championships (2/20-23)…notched a career-best time in the 200 free (1:48.64) vs. TCNJ (1/26). High School: Did not compete for his high school team, but did swim for the Scarlet Aquatic Club and was a three-year team captain…helped set a USA Swimming New Jersey record as part of his team’s 200 medley relay…honored as a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American as a junior and senior…junior volunteer at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center…graduated #10 out of 542 in his class…member of the National Honor Society. Personal: Minoring in history…younger sister, Andrea, is on the swimming team at Boston College…Dean’s List student…enjoys going to the beach and traveling…has received a full-time offer from Barclays Capital in global markets…aspires to attend a top-tier MBA program and travel the world.
