Ryan Ruddy

Ryan Ruddy joined NYU as an assistant baseball coach in October 2024. He is assisting in all facets of the program.
 
In his first season in 2025, the Violets posted their eighth consecutive winning season, finishing with a 20-17-1 record and tying the program mark with eight University Athletic Association (UAA) victories.  The teams’ pitchers struck out a program-record 304 batters, while the teams’ hitters twice belted four home runs in a game, tying the team record.
Shortstop Dakota Barbet signed a professional contract following the season, inked by the Reggio Rays in Serie A, the top division of Italy’s domestic league. Several other individuals also made their marks in ‘25, as Kosta Mocklis was selected D3baseball.com Second Team Region 4 and ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association)/Rawlings All-Region IV Second Team, Connor Roggero was named ABCA/Rawlings All-Region IV Third Team, and both earned First Team All-UAA honors.      
 
A 2017 graduate of SUNY Adirondack Community College with an associate’s degree in Individual Studies, Ruddy was a two-year member of the baseball team. 
 
Ruddy has contributed to the development of young athletes as a baseball coach at LaSalle Institute in Troy since March 2017 and previously served as an assistant coach at Adirondack C.C. for the spring 2021 season.
 
Since September 2022, Ruddy has been managing Top Level Athletics in Rensselaer, NY, a baseball and softball training facility. He oversees all aspects of the business, including development, staff hiring, marketing, and day-to-day operations.
 
Ruddy also currently serves as President of the Athletics Baseball Club in Troy, NY, a non-profit travel and youth baseball organization. In this role, Ruddy manages vendor relations, marketing, and business development while overseeing 14 baseball teams for players aged 10 to 17.
 
An active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association, Ruddy is also CPR certified. 
 
Ruddy is a native and resident of Troy, NY.
