 The CCNY Women’s Volleyball team finished with an overall record of 24-12. During the CUNYAC Finals, the team upset Baruch College to claim their first title since 2004.

Throughout the season, the Beavers were led offensively by Player of the Year and tournament MVP Floriana Garo. Garo had one of her best seasons during her senior year as she compiled 591 kills, 4.80 kills per game with a 0.373 hitting percentage, and 2.52 digs per game.  Junior middle blocker Melissa Blass finished a stellar season as she compiled 278 kills, 2.38 kills per game and a team-high 67 total blocks. Senior Nicole Cascone came through in a multitude of ways as she started as a libero and would transition to setter halfway through the season. Cascone had all-around numbers as she compiled 889 assists, a team-high 79 service aces, and 2.84 digs per game.

CCNY has played extremely well throughout the season and the Beavers' efforts have them nationally ranked in several statistical categories.  As a team CCNY ranks 21st in aces per set, 42nd in assists per set and 10th in hitting percentage. Floriana Garo ranks 13th in hitting percentage and second in kills per set. 

CCNY’s last appearance in the NCAA Regional’s was in 2004 when the team traveled to Ithaca and was defeated 3-0. 

The Beavers will face Salisbury University (MD) in the first round at 1 PM.
