Biography

2015-16: Compiled a team-best 31-4 record, setting the NYU single-season record with 28 victories at 133 pounds while also going undefeated in three matches at 141…earned NCAA All-America honors by taking second place at the NCAA Championships, the highest finish ever for a NYU wrestler…Centennial Conference Wrestler of the Year…All-UAA…led the squad with 11 technical falls…finished first at the Ithaca Invitational (10/7-8) and was honored as the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler…five-time UAA Athlete of the Week (11/9, 1/11, 2/8, 2/29, 3/14)…two-time Centennial Conference Wrestler of the Week (11/9, 2/8)…ended the season with the most career wins in NYU history at 133 pounds (53)…NYU Male Junior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
2014-15: Tallied a 25-9 record, wrestling exclusively at 133 pounds…earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Championships (3/13-14) with a sixth-place finish…won four bouts at the Championships to help lead NYU to a program-best-tying 12th-place finish…finished as runner-up in the 133-pound bracket at the NCAA East Regional (3/1)…All-UAA…led the team in technical falls (7) and major decisions (9)…won 14 consecutive bouts from 1/9-3/1…finished in fourth place at the Wilkes Open (12/28).
 
Pre-NYU: Attended Mt. San Antonio College for one year and was a member of the wrestling team…named Rookie of the Year, team MVP and Academic All-American as a senior.
 
High School: Three-year team member…started all three seasons…captain as a senior…went 48-6 with 35 pins as a senior, earning team MVP honors…Southern Section Masters Runner-up in 2012.
 
Personal: Enjoys traveling, attending concerts and festivals, snowboarding, and skateboarding…chose NYU for the “opportunity to become an NCAA Champion and for the school’s strong alumni base”…aspires to pursue a career in investment banking.
