2010-11: Totaled a 17-18 foil record…won five of nine bouts against Columbia University, Vassar College and Sacred Heart University (2/9)…UAA Winter Sport All-Academic honoree...Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Committee Spring Honor Roll.  2009-10: Competed in 39 foil bouts, compiling a 15-24 record…named UAA Athlete of the Week (11/16) after posting a perfect 6-0 record against Fairleigh Dickinson (11/12)…selected to Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Committee Spring Honor Roll…UAA Winter Sport All-Academic honoree. 2008-09: Debuted with an 11-21 record in foil competition…participated in more bouts than any other first-year member of the foil team. High School: Competed for 10 years for the Virginia Academy of Fencing (Flint Hill did not have a fencing team)…participated four times in the Junior Olympics…competed five times at the national championships…placed in the top eight, 16 and 32 at various national tournaments…also played volleyball…gained membership to the Spanish, Journalism and Latin honor societies…served as newspaper editor…graduated second in her class…selected to several academic honor societies. Personal: Pursuing a minor in classics…earned a Gilman Scholarship (from the State Department) to study abroad in Prague…studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, during the 2010 Fall semester…has participated in fencing since age eight…volunteered for Project Happy…plans to pursue a career in journalism, possibly as a foreign correspondent…is interning at the New York Daily News for the Fall 2011 semester… enjoys reading, writing and crossword puzzles.
