Biography

Enters senior season just 22 points shy of 1,000.

2011-12: Started 26 out of 27 games…Second Team All-UAA…led the team in rebounding and blocks, finished second in three pointers and third in scoring and three-point percentage…finished among the  top-10 in the UAA in blocks (4th), rebounding (6th), field goal percentage (8th), scoring (9th), assists (9th), and steals (9th)…scored in double figures 19 times…poured in a career-high 36 points at Case Western Reserve (2/5), the second-highest point total by a Violet in 22 seasons…recorded 21 points, six assists, and four rebounds in the Violets’ NCAA Tournament victory over Misericordia (3/1)…collected a season-high 11 rebounds vs. TCNJ (11/19) and Brandeis (1/7)…recorded double-doubles against TCNJ, MCLA (12/13) and Emory (2/10)…also played a career-high 38 minutes vs. Emory and had a career-best six blocks vs. MCLA…totaled a season-best eight assists vs. Washington (1/22) and a career-best five steals vs. Baruch (11/20)…NYU Tip-Off All-Tournament Team…two-time UAA Athlete of the Week (2/6, 3/5)…ECAC Metro Player of the Week (2/7)…UAA Winter Sport All-Academic…Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Committee Fall and Spring Honor Rolls.

2010-11: Played in all 27 games, starting 26…led the Violets in assists, helping the team break the school record for assists in a season and lead all of Division III in assists per game…led the team in blocks...ranked second in scoring, rebounding, field-goal pct., three-pointers, and minutes played…finished fourth in the UAA in blocks, fifth in rebounding and assist-to-turnover ratio, sixth in assists, ninth in minutes per game, 10th in three-point field-goal pct., and 16th in scoring…led NYU in rebounding 11 times and in scoring three times…reached double figures in scoring 15 times and topped 20 points three times…named UAA Athlete of the Week twice (12/13, 1/3) and ECAC Metro Player of the Week once (1/4)…poured in a season-high 28 points on 11-14 FG, and added eight assists, five rebounds and three blocks vs. SUNY Maritime (12/30)…totaled 24 points, eight boards and seven assists vs. TCNJ (12/8)…also had a 24-point, eight-rebound performance in a season-high 37 minutes vs. Chicago (2/20)…corralled a career-high 13 rebounds (six on the offensive glass) in the season opener vs. Moravian and went on to be named to the NYU Tip-Off All-Tournament Team after averaging 9.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game (11/20-21)…handed out a season-best 10 assists to go along with 15 points and five boards vs. Drew (1/2)…added double-doubles in the Violets’ two ECAC Metro Tournament games, recording 16 points and 10 rebounds vs. St. Joseph’s-LI (3/2) and 13 points with 11 boards vs. Rutgers-Newark (3/5)…also had a season-high five blocks in the St. Joseph’s game…totaled nine points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, and three blocks vs. Rochester (1/28)…recorded two steals in a game seven times…Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Committee Spring Honor Roll.

2009-10: One of only two Violets to start all 27 games…became the first NYU freshman to average double figures in scoring since 2004, finishing third on the team in the category…led the team in minutes played, including a season-high 37 vs. Mount Saint Vincent (12/5)…ranked second on the team in rebounding, three-point field-goal pct. and steals, and third in field-goal pct., assists and blocks…placed in the top 15 in the UAA in three-point field-goal pct. (9th), assists (13th), field-goal pct. (14th), and rebounding (15th)…led the squad in scoring on three occasions and in rebounding five times…scored in double figures on 14 occasions, including a season-high 22 points on 8-12 shooting vs. Emory (2/19)…fell one rebound shy of recording a triple-double against Wesleyan, as he totaled 15 points, a career-best 11 assists and nine rebounds (1/11)…posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards vs. Carnegie Mellon (2/5)…also had a season-high two blocks in that contest (as well as vs. Carnegie Mellon on 1/29)…totaled a season-best four steals vs. Elmira (11/22).

High School: Three-year team member, two-year captain…two-time team MVP…finished his career with 956 points and 112 three-pointers…averaged career highs of 19.1 points and 9.1 rebounds while hitting a three-pointer in 21 of 24 games during his senior year…also a four-year member of the baseball team…Maryland Distinguished Scholar…Marine Corps Athletic Scholar…National Honor Society member who made the Honor Roll each semester.

Personal: Eastern Invitational (Hoop Group) All-Star selection…enjoys music, movies and traveling.
