Biography

2019-20: Earned four All-America honors (100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay)…UAA Men’s Co-Swimmer of the Year…broke NYU records in the 100-yard breast (53.23) and the 200-yard breast (1:56.55), winning both events at the UAA Championships (2/12-15)…also took Third Team All-UAA honors in the 400-yard medley relay (3:17.41), the 200-yard medley relay (1:29.67) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:50.50)…three-time UAA Athlete of the Week – Swimming (1/13, 1/20, 2/17)…CoSIDA Academic All-American Third Team At-Large…CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large…Student Athlete Academic Achievement Award…UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team…UAA Winter Sport All-Academic…IAAC Fall and Spring Honor Rolls…First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American.
 
2018-19: Team member, but did not compete…IAAC Fall Honor Roll.
 
2017-18: Earned three All-America honors (third-place 200-yard breaststroke, fourth-place 100-yard breaststroke, fourth-place 400-yard medley relay), one Honorable Mention (ninth-place -200-yard medley relay), and helped the 400-yard medley relay team set a school record (3:17.21) at the NCAA Championships (3/21-24)…finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.12) at the UAA Championships (2/14-17)…IAAC Spring Honor Roll…CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention.
                                                             
Pre-NYU: Attended Florida State University and was a member of the swimming & diving team as a freshman…posted personal-best times of 55.92 in the 100-yard breast, 2:01.07 in the 200-yard breast and 1:53.42 in the 200-yard IM. 
Personal: Minoring in Chinese…two-time Michigan Division 3 State Champion in the 100-yard breast…enjoys speaking Chinese and cooking…chose NYU “to pursue a degree from an astounding and academically renown university while continuing to compete as a varsity college athlete”…aspires to work in consulting or corporate finance in an international setting.
