Wrestlers Go 3-0 at NY/PA Duals

#20 Violets Now 16-1

The New York University wrestling team, currently ranked #20 in the nation, won all three of its matches at the NY/PA Duals on Saturday, January 17, in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

The Violets, now 16-1 in dual matches this season, defeated Keystone College (46-9), Elizabethtown College (36-16) and host Wilkes University (42-7) on Saturday. 

A pair of NYU wrestlers went 3-0 over the three matches: Harrison Gordon (133) and James Carlock (141) .

Gordon was dominant in his three bouts, posting a fall and two technical falls.

Carlock produced a fall and a major decision, while winning one by forfeit.

Ty Finn (174), Alexander Diaz (125), John Gleason  (165), and Nathan Faxon (285) all went 2-0.

"This team has a lot of depth and talent and it showed that today," said Associate Head Coach Corey Luce. "It's a pretty special thing when you can put other guys into your lineup and still come out on top."

The Violets return to action next Saturday, January 24, when they host Stevens on Senior Day at 2:00pm at the John A. Paulson Center in Manhattan.
