New York University's top-ranked men's volleyball team lifted its season record to 22-0 with a victory over Nazareth University on Sunday, March 23, in Rochester, NY.
In a match-up of United Volleyball Confernence (UVC) foes, the Violets produced a sweep by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.
Lucas Osiecki's kill ended the first set.
The Violets held a one-point lead, 22-21 in the second, but scored the final three points which concluded on a kill from
Luke Boyer.
The final set was tied 14-14 before a 3-0 run gave NYU the lead for food. The final point came on a Boyer ace.
Emerson Evans led the Violets with a match-high 10 kills, while Osiecki had nine as NYU hit .245 compared to Nazareth's .082.
Devyn Nguyen led the Violets with 31 assists and nine digs.
The squad now takes a break until Wednesday, April 2, when they host Vassar College at the Paulson Center at 6:00pm.
