The New York University wrestling team,
ranked #20 in the nation, fell to #14 The College of New Jersey on Saturday, January 25, in Ewing, NJ.
The final score was 35-7, as the Violets dropped to 11-5 in dual meets this season.
NYU won two of the 10 bouts.
Three-time All-American
Cooper Pontelandolfo produced another dominant performance, posting a 16-2 major decision over the Lions' J.J. Giordano at 157 pounds.
Also victorious for the Violets was two-time NCAA Qualifier
Trent Furman, who recorded a 4-1 decision over James Romaine at 184.
The Violets return to the mat on Friday, January 31, when they cross the Hudson River to face #19 Stevens at 7:00pm in Hoboken, NJ.
