The
#9-ranked New York University men's basketball team took a short bus ride uptown to face Yeshiva University for their first road game of the season, and the Violets defeated the Yeshiva Maccabees 97-78 on Saturday, November 18.
It was NYU's highest-scoring game so far this season, as the Violets improved to 3-1.

Coming out of a strategic timeout from Head Coach
Dave Klatsky, the Violets hit a plethora of threes and retook the lead. The first half ended for the third time in four games with a
Spencer Freedman buzzer-beater, putting NYU up 46-36.
NYU did not trail for the remainder of the game, but Yeshiva kept it close at 13:21 when Or Sundjyvsky put one in and shorted the visitor's lead to just two.
But, back-to-back Freedman and Micheal Savarino threes allowed the Violets to put distance between them and the Maccabees, as NYU went on to victory.
