The New York University Men's Basketball Team was defeated 91-74 by
#20-ranked Emory University on Sunday, February 6, at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY.
The Violets (9-9, 0-8) led by four points early in the game following a three-pointer by
Nikola Lipovic.
The score was tied 19-19 when the Eagles (15-4, 8-1) went on a 7-0 run and never surrendered the lead.
Emory led 45-33 at halftime and increased it to a game-high 19 points, 90-71, with less than a minute to play.
It was the eighth-straight loss for the Violets.

Riley Demps scored a career-high 20 points for the Violets, connecting on 5-of-8 shots from the field and converting all nine of his free throws. He added three assists and two rebounds.

Bobby Hawkinson recorded his 14th double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds. He also totaled a team-high five assists.

Holt Bashinsky contributed a career-high 16 points, while Lipovic added a career-best 11.
The Violets are right back in action tomorrow when they travel to Bethlehem, PA, for a non-conference contest against Moravian University at 7:00pm.
