Men's Soccer Falls to Muhlenberg in ECAC Quarterfinal

Violets' Season Ends with 1-0 Loss

The New York University men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to host Mulhenburg College in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship quarterfinals on Sunday, November 17, in Allentown, PA.

The lone goal of the contest was scored in the sixth minute of play when Mulhenburg's (11-6-2) Chris Richards dribbled through the NYU defense and found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Jordan Cimring.

NYU was out-shot 17-8 overall and 6-4 in shots on goal.

The  Violets' Luca Mancuso (Miami, FL/Montverde Academy) recorded five saves, while the Mules' Raymond Leto turned back all four shots he faced.

"We just couldn't get anything going offensively," said Head Coach Kim Wyant. "We had a few close chances, but nothing materialized. We never quit, but it's a disappointing end to our season."

NYU 2019 season ends with an 8-8-2 overall record. The Violets finished 3-3-1 in the University Athletic Association.
