The New York University men's soccer team won its seventh-straight game on Saturday, September 22, defeating host Brooklyn College 3-0 in Brooklyn.
NYU (7-1-0) scored a goal before halftime and added a pair late in the second half to defeat the Bulldogs, who dropped to 1-8-0 on the season.
The Violets controlled play in Saturday's win, outshooting Brooklyn 21-1 overall and 11-0 in shots on goal.
Robert Shellow opened the scoring for the Violets when he corralled a corner kick in the box and shot it past the Brooklyn goalkeeper for his first goal of the season.

Owen Smith doubled the squad's lead in the 78th minute when he connected on a penalty kick.
Richie Rambarran headed in a cross from
Santiago Huertas almost six minutes after Smith's tally to extend the Violets' lead.

Grant Engel did not need to make a save en route to his seventh win and third shutout of the season. Brooklyn goalkeeper Balint Barabas made eight saves to help keep the contest close.
The Violets will look to make it eight in a row on Tuesday when they host Drew University at 7pm at Gaelic Park.
