ResultsNew York University's men's swimming & diving team fell to West Chester University 178-121 on Saturday, January 30, in West Chester, PA.
Junior
Max Phillips won the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.14) and placed second in the 100-yard freestyle (47.20).
"We swam very well today," said Head Coach
Trevor Miele. "There were a lot of great races, and we are looking good moving into the championship part of the season."
HIGHLIGHTS:-
Chad Moody took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.01. The sophomore also finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (53.01) and was a member of the second-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:34.49) with sophomore
Adam Betts, sophomore
Tim Kou and junior
Daniel Tay.
- Phillips and Moody also participated on the second-place 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:07.42) along with Kou and senior
Win Htet Oo.
- Sophomore diver
Dylan Adler finished in third place (242.25) and fourth place (238.88) in the three-meter and one-meter competitions, respectively, while freshman diver
Max Falb placed fourth (233.93) and fifth (209.85).
"The men were really solid today against some really strong competition," said Diving Coach
Scott Donie.
The Violets will host the NYU Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 5-6, at the Palladium Athletic Facility in Manhattan.
