The New York University women's soccer team recorded its fifth consecutive victory on Wednesday, September 23, defeating Ramapo College 2-1 at the Ramapo College Athletic Center in Mahwah, NJ.
The first half was entertaining, with all three of the game's goals being scored. The Violets (6-1) started the contest strong, getting an unassisted goal from
Olivia Braender-Carr in the fourth minute. The goal was the second in as many games for Braender-Carr.
After the Roadrunners (5-1-1) responded with an 18
th-minute goal,
Lexi Clarke put NYU ahead for good five minutes later after receiving an assist from
Sharon Lee.
Despite holding a lead, the Violets continued to attack, outshooting Ramapo 8-3 in the second half.
HIGHLIGHTS:- Clarke's goal was her second of the season.
