The New York University club hockey team won its first-ever American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Championship by defeating Florida Gulf Coast University 5-4 on Tuesday, March 24.

The team was inspired by junior goalkeeper Sam Daley, who had a surgery to remove a brain tumor in January and was unable to play for the rest of the season.

Daley's battle, as well as the team's, resulted in resounding victories.
