NYU 5 DeSales 1The New York University women's soccer team earned the 5-1 victory on the road over DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, on Saturday, September 27.
The Violets (5-3-0) were led by
Cami Crawford, who notched two goals in the victory over the Bulldogs (3-5-2). Her first came in just the second minute, putting NYU up 1-0 off an assist from
Lexi Clarke. Her second came when the score was tied 1-1 in the 26th minute when the DeSales keeper misplayed the ball off the foot of
Phebe Miller, who was credited with the assist, on a defensively aggressive play. Crawford was left with the ball and the empty net to put the Violets up 2-1.
"It's great to get a win on the road and it's nice to see our attack coming together with different people scoring goals," NYU Head Coach
Michele Canning said.
