Vassar 1 NYU 0The New York University women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by Vassar College on Saturday night, September 13, at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY.
The Violets (2-3-0) fell to the Brewers (3-2-0) in NYU's home-opener. The squad was led by
Cassie Steinberg, who made three saves in the loss, and
Lexi Clarke, who took a team-high two shots on goal.
"I'm obviously disappointed with the result, but I give credit to Vassar as they came in a fought hard," NYU Head Coach
Michele Canning said.
NYU will return to the pitch on Wednesday night, September 17, when it hosts Ramapo College at Gaelic Park for a 7:00 pm contest.
