#15 Clarkson 3, NYU 2 | RIT 3 NYU 2The New York University women's volleyball team completed play at the New York State Region Challenge, hosted by the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, on Saturday, November 1.
The Violets (19-16) began the afternoon with a tough loss to #15 Clarkson University (32-3) in five sets (21-25, 25-23, 25-13, 24-26, 17-15). They followed that up with another hard-fough five-set defeat (14-25, 25-14, 16-25, 25-19, 15-13) vs. the Rochester Institute of Technology later in the afternoon.
CLARKSON HIGHLIGHTS:-
Celine Das and
Katie Robinson split the setting duties vs. the Golden Knights, notching 24 and 18 assists, respectively.
- Three Violets recorded double-digit kills, led by Robinson's match-best 13. The senior also added 11 digs for her third triple-double of the season.
Gigi Morally (11) and
Sonya Bray (10) were the other two Violets to rack up double-digit kills.

MaTia Hughes led all players with a match-high 30 digs, followed by
Cassidy Jourdan who was second with 18.
Josie Luck also notched 14 digs to go along with six kills.

Allie Williams led NYU with four total blocks, while Robinson,
Nicole Frias and Bray were right behind her with three apiece.
RIT HIGHLIGHTS:- Bray led the Violets with a team-best 14 kills. She added two blocks, as well.
- Robinson (20) and Das (18) once again led NYU in assists. Robinson added nine digs, five kills and two service aces. Das finished with seven digs.
- Hughes (15) and Jourdan (11) led the Violets in digs.
NYU will return to the court for the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University, on Friday and Saturday, November 7-8, in Pittsburgh, PA. The Violets will begin as the sixth-seed at 2:00 pm on Friday vs. the hosting Tartans (#3). Click
