NYU 3 Rowan 0 | Nazareth 3 NYU 0The New York University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Friday, October 31, at the New York State Region Challenge, hosted by the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
The Violets (19-14) began the day with a straight-set victory (25-16, 25-23, 25-19) over Rowan University (14-15). NYU then waited until 8:00 pm for its next match, but was defeated in straight-sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-13) by Nazareth College (24-9).
ROWAN HIGHLIGHTS:-
Celine Das had a match-best 32 assists. The rookie added six digs, three services aces and two block assists.

Nicole Frias and
Gigi Morally each tied the match high with nine kills apiece. Frias added two block assists, as well.

MaTia Hughes led all players with 18 digs, while
Brooke Tannahill tied for second during the match with 10. Hughes added three service aces, while Tannahill notched two.
NAZARETH HIGHLIGHT:-
Zoe Prince led NYU with eight kills. She added three digs, as well.
- Das led the Violets in assists (18) for the second-straight match. She added a team-high six digs and two service aces.
Cassidy Jourdan (5) and Hughes (4) were next in line for NYU in digs.
The Violets return to the court in Hoboken for a pair of matches on Saturday, November 1. They begin vs. #15 Clarkson University at 12:00 pm, followed by a scheduled 2:00 pm match vs. the Rochester Institute of Technology.
