Women's Soccer Falls 2-0 at #16 Chicago

Violets Drop to 2-2-1 in UAA Play

The New York University women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by the #16-ranked University of Chicago on Friday evening, October 31, in Chicago, IL.

The Violets (10-5-1, 2-2-1 University Athletic Association) fell behind 2-0 after the Maroons (12-3-1, 3-1-1 UAA) scored two goals in the first half. NYU was never able to fire back on the scoreboard and suffered its second Association loss of the season.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Cassie Steinberg recorded two saves on the night.

- The Violets attempted three shots during the contest, landing two on net courtesy of Sharon Lee and Teressa Fazio.

The Violets will return to the pitch on Sunday afternoon, November 2, in St. Louis, MO, when they face #5 Washington University-St. Louis for a scheduled 1:30 pm (CT) kickoff. Live stats and live video will be available.
