- Sophomore Richy Cruz earned a hard-fought 3-1 decision at 149 pounds.

- Junior co-captain Matt DiGiovanni (157 pounds) won his match by a 14-6 major decision.

- Freshman John Klein competed at heavyweight and earned the 5-0 decision to finish off the match.

"It was a step in the right direction after our performance at the Garden against Stevens Tech," said NYU Head Coach Bruce Haberli. "I think we're still a few steps away from where we need to be, but I thought it was a good match today."

The NYU grapplers will be back in action when they hit the mat in Kings Point, NY, on Saturday, December 14. The match against the United States Merchant Marine Academy is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
