BOX SCORE

The New York University women's soccer team fell to the University of Chicago 2-1 in a University Athletic Association (UAA) home match on Friday afternoon, November 1, at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY.

The Violets fell behind early in the second half when the Maroons took the 2-0 lead. NYU senior midfielder Erin Ahmed closed the gap to just one when she scored her fifth goal of the season and is now tied for second on the team.

Unfortunately, NYU was unable to get that next goal to force overtime and fell to 0-3-2 in Association play.

The Violets will be back in action at Gaelic Park for Senior/Family Day on Sunday afternoon, November 3, when they host #1 Washington University in St. Louis. The game will also be the second installment of the Violet Nation Presents: Tear it Up! series. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
