The New York University women's volleyball team (22-5, 4-3) fell to Richard Stockton College (26-5, 8-0) before topping the host school Kean University (21-9, 5-3) at the Kean Tri-Meet on Saturday, October 26, in Union, NJ.
NYU lost the first match in four evenly-matched sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-27, 25-23) despite a 59-58 advantage in kills. The squad quickly bounced back in its second match, winning in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-19.
After being up by a score of 16-15 against Kean in the first set, NYU took nine of the last 11 points to wrap up the set. It was a similar story in the third, as the score was tied 11-11 before the Violets were able pull away.

The Violets return to action next weekend at the New York State Challenge hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. The team will compete in four matches over two days, with the first coming on Saturday, November 1, against Nazareth College. First serve is set for 5:00pm.
