The New York University women's volleyball team kicked off the RIT Invitational with a win on Friday, September 14, against St. Lawrence University. The Violets topped the Saints in three sets (25-18, 25-12, 25-13). This improved the squad to 5-3 on the season and extended its win steak to four.
NYU's win streak did not last much longer as they faced the host school, Rochester Institute of Technology, in Friday's nightcap. The Tigers defeated the Violets in four sets by a score of 25-19, 18-25, 25-15, 25-19. NYU now sits at 5-4 on the season with two more matches left to play in the RIT Invitational.

The Violets are set to wrap up the RIT Invitational against St. John Fisher College and Bluffton University on Saturday, September 15. First serve is set for 10:00am.
