The New York University women's volleyball team (14-13) traveled across the city to take on local rival Baruch College on Wednesday, October 24. The Violets fell to the Bearcats in straight sets by a score of 25-21, 25-20, 25-22.
Although NYU led Baruch in kills, attacks and blocks, the squad struggled with consistency all night. Twelve team members saw playing time in the match and NYU hit just .142 as a team.

Alexandria Mao dominated with a match-high 18 kills, four service aces and a .382 hitting percentage.

Hope Bogle played very solid on all sides of the ball. She posted yet another double-double with 13 assists and 10 digs to go along with four kills and an .800 hitting percentage.

Kaylee Schanda led the team with 14 digs.

Vera Shulgina had five kills.
This was the final road game of the year for the Violets until they travel to Atlanta, GA, on November 2, to compete in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship. The Violets are set to wrap up their regular season this weekend as they host the New York State Challenge on October 26-27.
