In its first match of the day, the team continued its undefeated weekend by sweeping SUNY Brockport.  The Violets needed just 55 minutes to defeat the Golden Eagles (0-4) in straight sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-12).

Leading the way on offense for NYU was Dunn, who notched a season-high 19 kills while hitting a match-high .615.

On defense, Schwartz continued her double-digit dig streak, putting up 12 while adding two service aces.

“We're looking forward to the rest of the season,” concluded Pinto.  “I am excited to keep working hard in practice and taking it one weekend at a time.”

The Violets return to action on Thursday, September 10, when they travel to Rochester, NY to take part in the Nazareth College Golden Flyer Invitational.  NYU will match up against The Sage Colleges and SUNY Fredonia on Friday and second-ranked Juniata College on Saturday before heading into the crossover round Saturday afternoon.  First serve on Friday is set for 4:00 pm.
