Women's Soccer Ending Regular Season With Road Tilt at Brandeis

Lucy Dolly Caires is one assist away from becoming NYU's career leader.

New York University's women's soccer team will look for its first University Athletic Association (UAA) win and a boost to its postseason hopes when it travels to Waltham, MA, to face Brandeis University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.  Brandeis will provide live stats.

NYU (9-7-1, 0-5-1 UAA) is coming off a 2-1, overtime setback against a Washington University side ranked #7 in the D3Soccer.com Top 25 and #8 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Division III National Rankings.  The Violets led 1-0 until the Bears scored with 90 seconds remaining in regulation, then tacked on the winning tally less than two minutes into extra time.

Saturday's contest will mark the final collegiate regular-season game for Lucy Dolly Caires, who is tied for the NYU career lead with 19 assists.  Regardless of result, the Violets are a strong candidate to earn their third straight Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Metropolitan Tournament invitation.
