Meet Results
The New York University women's swimming and diving team defeated University Athletic Association rivals Case Western Reserve University by a score of 291-98 and the University of Rochester 253-136 to claim its first two dual-meet wins of the 2008-09 season on Nov. 1 in Rochester, NY.
“I was really pleased with how the team performed,” said NYU head coach Lauren Beam. “It was also great to see them swim against some tough UAA competition.”
Sophomore
Chelsea Pfohl claimed individual victories in the 100 backstroke (1:00.85) and 100 butterfly (59.08), and as a member of both the 400 medley relay team (4:09.58) and the 400 freestyle relay team (3:44.11).
Junior
Danielle Hildebrandt captured two events, winning the 200 freestyle (2:01.46) and as a member of the 400-freestyle relay team (3:44.11). She also placed second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.64.
Senior
Molly Hawkinson led the diving team, earning a second-place finish in the one-meter dive (179.65 points) and the third-place spot in the three-meter dive (187.15 points).
NYU jumps back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 8, against Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, at 1 pm.
