The New York University women's volleyball team returns home to the Coles Sports Center to host the annual NYU Violet Classic, October 10-11.

The Violets (14-6, 1-2 UAA) will open the tournament against Connecticut College at 4:00 pm followed by a match against long-time rival Rochester Institute of Technology at 8:00 pm.  The match against RIT will also be the team's yearly "Tear It Up" event.  On Saturday, NYU takes in 15th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at 12:00 pm and closes the weekend against another long-time rival in SUNY New Paltz at 2:00 pm.

Saturday will also serve as Senior Day as the Violets honor their captain Stacy Goto.  In her four years with NYU, Goto has amassed the third-most digs during the rally-scoring era (2001-present), and recorded the second-most digs in a single season during her junior campaign.
