Women's Volleyball Falls Against Emory in Pittsburgh

The New York University women's volleyball team fell to Emory University 3-0 on Sunday, Oct. 5, and finish 1-2 at the UAA Round Robin #1 hosted by Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Violets (14-6, 1-2 UAA) were outmatched by the nationally-ranked (#2 AVCA Coaches Division III Poll) ) Eagles (19-3, 3-0 UAA), falling 25-22, 25-10, 25-20.

Sophomore Erin Noonan continued to lead the way on offense for NYU, putting down a team-high nine kills.

On the defensive side of the ball, freshman Elizabeth Dick led the team with seven digs while senior captain Stacy Goto added six more.

The Violets return to action next weekend, Oct. 10-11, when they host Connecticut College, Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY New Paltz, and 11th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at the annual NYU Violet Classic.
