The New York University women's volleyball team opens University Athletic Association (UAA) conference competition this weekend, Oct. 4-5, at the UAA Round Robin #1, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Coming off a 5-6 record and a fifth-place conference finish in 2007, the Violets (13-4) come into the weekend with the second-best overall record in the UAA.

NYU will begin the weekend at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 4, when it takes on the University of Chicago.  On Sunday, the Violets will take on Brandeis University at 9:00 am followed Emory University at 3:00 pm.  The Emory Eagles are currently ranked #2 in the AVCA Division III Coaches Poll.  Live stats will be available for all matches.
