Jake Chaplin

Jake Chaplin is in his second season as an assistant coach with the New York University baseball team. His primary responsibilities include working with the squad’s infielders and assisting with all aspects of the offense.

In his first season at NYU, Chaplin helped lead the Violets to an overall 20-22 record, including victories in six of their last seven games.

A 2012 graduate of Haverford College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion, Chaplin was a four-year starter on the Fords’ baseball team and a three-time All-Centennial Conference selection.
 
Following his collegiate career, Chaplin was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers and played for two seasons in their minor league system (2012-13).
 
Prior to his arrival at NYU, Chaplin served as an assistant on his alma mater’s coaching staff from 2013-14. He has also been involved in youth baseball in New York City in many different capacities throughout the years.
 
Chaplin is a native and resident of New York City.
