UAA Release
Fifty-six New York University student-athletes have earned 2016 University Athletic Association (UAA) Spring Sport All-Academic honors.
Student-athletes representing four men's and four women's spring sports (baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's outdoor track & field) were honored from the UAA's eight member institutions.
Men's track & field led the way with 19 selections, followed by women's track & field which had 16 student-athletes recognized.
Both the baseball and softball teams had five players honored, while men's and women's tennis each had four student-athletes selected.
Two members of the women's golf team were honored, while the men's golf team had one.
UAA All-Academic recognition is given to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum of a 3.30 grade point average -- the same academic qualifying standard used by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
